WiiWareWave Upgrades With A Splash of New Paint And New Functions!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you've visited our homepage today you've likely noticed that our latest news function has been heavily updated not only with a fresh new look, but also with a few new features as well! First of all our article types are now color-coded with news articles being red, reviews blue, exclusive features orange, and WiiWareWave news cyan. Another minor new feature added is that the page views are now listed for each of the articles on the portal.
We also fixed the banner at the top of our website. The background image has been fixed and now looks the same as the rest of the background on the website. Well, that's all for this update! What do you think of the changes? As always, be sure to let us know in our comments section below!

If you've visited our portal page this morning, you likely noticed a fairly substantial change in the latest update to our website! All of our headlines are now tidily listed above our latest articles list! The snazzy looking feature only lists the nine most recent articles so you will still need to scroll down to see articles 10-20, but this should be a convenient function for those of you whom regularly visit our website and want to see what's new!

WiiWareWave Has Been Upgraded Once Again!

We have implemented a few new features on our website today! The first is the follow function, which keeps you updated on posts that your followed members make on our website as seen below!
And the second new feature we've finally implemented is an award feature. There are ony 2 types of award badges with three tiers each at the moment, but expect more to be rolled out in the future! Here's some screenshots of the new feature!
Both features heavily utilize our on-site push-notifications so you'll see when your followed members post something new or you earn a new award! What do you think of this new site update? As always be sure to let us know in our comments section below!

10th Anniversary Celebration Mateys!

We are celebrating our 10th anniversary in style! We have renewed our domain for another year as well as keeping our site ad-free for another 12 months! We've also added a plethora of new features and quality of life changes over the past few months! Here are the changes:
Topic Body Changes:
1: Our forum and blog posts now list all members who have contributed to the topic or article at the top of the page!
Changes To Our PM System:
1: The PMs are now grouped by subject: to keep the discussion thread between the same members and with the same subject title.
2: You can now consult the history of the discussion beyond the first 7 messages: pagination has been added to go back as far as necessary in the discussion.
3: A small icon now indicates which messages you have already replied to.
4: The message being viewed is clearly indicated in the history (you will stop wondering why their message appears twice!)
Quality of Life Changes:
1: Signatures now have a 2048 character limit instead of a 1000 character limit to allow for more complex image signatures. Full 2048 character text signatures will likely be blocked except in cases of cool Ascii Art.
2: Poll options have been increased to 100 max choices per poll, for things like character contests and more!

Update: @BlueRangerJack has pitched in so our ad-free weekend is now scheduled to last through October 15th of 2021! Woot!
Original Article: Starting today and lasting through Tuesday, WiiWareWave is going ad-free for both members and guests to make the site even more enjoyable! We will be renewing our demain and forum package on Wednesday at which point we'll drop our ad-free option, unless you guys for some generous reason donate the 2000 or so additional credits we'd need to upgrade to the ad-free package here on our donation page, which of course is completely you, our member's choice!

Our New Name Has Been Decided!

Earlier this month we asked you, our loyal members what you wanted us to name our website now that we've become an all-encompassing video games press website and a good deal of you voted for TheGamerResort. We then sent a newsletter poll to the members who didn't participate in the preliminaries and out of 225 votes 198 were in favor of renaming WiiWareWave, TheGamerResort! So we've heard your opinions and have decided to go with TheGamerResort as our new community name! So in less than a month "we'll let you know the exact day at least two weeks in advance", our new domain will be http://www.TheGamerResort.com
@GeekyGamerZack @KingreX32 We need a banner ready within the next 10-15 days and if you can't get access to a laptop even a simple temporary banner created and uploaded from your mobile device would be a good short-term solution!
Anyways what do you think of our new name and domain going into the future? Do you think it will help us grab a larger group of followers? New Persona!

We announced recently that we'll be getting a new domain name and would be dropping our WiiWareWave moniker next month and we're beginning that process right now! From today 8/7/17 until next Thursday 8/14/17 you, our loyal members can leave us your name suggestions in the comment section below and the three most suggested website names will be selected for a poll that will run from Friday 8/15/17 to Monday 8/25/17.
