What do You Name Your Rival in the Pokémon Series?

Ever since a daft yet well-respected Pokémon Professor forgot his own grandson's name, the Pokémon games have had a long-running tradition of being able to name your rival and have fun doing it. Who doesn't remember the time they defeated BUTT's powerful fully-evolved team? But everyone has their own themes when it comes to naming their rivals, whether after a friend, family member, celebrity, idol, character or something else. This is the place to share your rival's name(s).

I'll start things off with the names I use for rivals:

Kanto-based games (Gen I, FR and LG): Blue

Johto-based games (Gen II, HG and SS): Chris

Sinnoh-based games (Diamond, Pearl and Platinum): Barry

As you can see, only one of the rivals has a (somewhat) unique name in my games, while the others keep their canon names intact.
