News: The Latest NSO Games Library Updates We've Missed!

A Splash of Variety!

Nintendo has released several updates to the NSO library of games since we last updated you guys. Our apologies! The most recent update added two new N64 titles to the service! Those two titles being Iggy's Wreckin Balls and Extreme G!
Another recent update added new SNES and Super Famicom titles to the NSO service! These titles were Wrecking Crew 98', Super R-Type, and Amazing Hebereke.
Then in another update a single Gameboy Advance title dropped onto the service in the form of F-Zero: Maximum Velocity.
And lastly back on March 10th, we saw three Gameboy titles release on the NSO service. These games were Dr. Mario, Mario Golf, and Mario Tennis!

Party Like It's 1999!

Nintendo announced earlier this evening that the previously confirmed Mario Party 3 for the Nintendo 64, will be splashing onto the Nintendo Switch Online Plus Expansion service on Friday in Japan, which of course means parts of the west including the United Stated will be getting this game on Thursday evening! Also in related news, Nintendo recently also released Kirby And The Amazing Mirror for the Gameboy Advance on the Expansion service!

The Blades That Bind Us!

Nintendo has announced that Fire Emblem also known as Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade in Japan will be releasing on June 22nd which is Thursday, but given how NSO releases happen at the same time globally chances are the game will drop in North America at 6:00 PM PDT / 9:00 PM EDT on Wednesday! Here is the official description of the game from Nintendo's PR announcement!
Official Description: wrote:Featuring all the fierce tactical combat and rich, intrigue-filled storytelling the series is known for, Fire Emblem was the first installment in the series to launch outside of Japan. Plus, it also marked the debut of the hero Lyn, who you may know as the Emblem of Blazing from Fire Emblem Engage!
In Fire Emblem, the nation of Lycia stands on the precipice of war after centuries of peace. Turmoil grows as noble houses plot treason, allies become enemies and armies stand poised for combat … all while a mysterious figure manipulates empires from the shadows. Now Lyn, along with Eliwood and Hector, must amass their own army to fight back against the forces that would destroy everything they hold dear – and before the world is burned to ash.
Over the course of the story, you’ll gather heroes to your side, train them to excel with a wide array of weapons and classes, and further hone their skills on the battlefield. In battle, strategize your course of action around a variety of terrain and conditions. Then take command of the field and lead your units to victory by fulfilling specific objectives. But be warned: In this Fire Emblem game, if your soldiers meet their end, they’re gone forever.

As a bonus for Japanese players, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade is also releasing in Japan only this week. You can, however play the game with a North American or European NSO + Expansion Pack subscription if you have a Japanese Switch account, but obviously the game will be in Japanese and is text-heavy so some understanding of the Japanese language might be necessary to enjoy a game like this. Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Advance, Super Mario Advance 2, and Super Mario Advance 3 will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Gameboy Advance app on May 25th in the states and May 26th if you live in the Eastern Hemisphere. It would appear that the Wii U isn't quite done yet as indie developer Ape Dafool Games has announced that they will be releasing a laundry folding simulator on the aging hardware for the casual gamers that still use the Wii U and other Nintendo consoles from previous generations. Nintendo has officially announced that Metroid Fusion for the Gameboy Advance will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack this week! The update should drop at around 5:00PM PST / 8:00PM EST on Thursday! Nintendo of America was quite late in confirming our Virtual Console line-up this week for the Wii U and 3DS! All three titles this week were quite unexpected as Super Paper Mario (Wii) and Drill Dozer (GBA) will be hitting the Wii U eShop shortly! On the 3DS side of things, Mega Man 7 (SNES) will be hitting the New 3DS eShop in a short while!

A Big Week For The Virtual Console Service In North America!

This week looks to be a fantastic week for Virtual Console releases on the Wii U eShop in North America as Big Brain Academy (DS) and Polarium Advance (GBA) are hitting the service tomorrow on top of the import release Kuru Kuru Kururin for the Gameboy Advance which we already reported just a short while ago! It seems that the Virtual Console service, at least on the Wii U is really picking up the pace in-terms of weekly releases in North America, let's hope that this trend will continue!

It looks like the import title Kuru Kuru Kururin for the Gameboy Advance will be hitting the Wii U Virtual Console service tomorrow according to a listing on Nintendo of America's official website! This is the first time that Kuru Kuru Kururin has been made available officially in the North American region so the gameplay is a secret to everyone in the region "at least for those of you who haven't imported the game". Sorry we couldn't resist a bit of Zelda humor!

Overview wrote:“Kururin’s brothers and sisters are lost across 10 different worlds! In his special helicopter, the Helirin, navigate through mazes as quickly as you can while avoiding obstacles such as walls, pistons, and cannons.
You can also customize your Helirin by using items acquired in Adventure mode.”

According to listings that have just appeared on Nintendo of America's official website, it appears that both Super Mario Advance 4 and Zack & Wiki will be hitting the North American Wii U Virtual Console Service tomorrow! It also appears that Super Mario Advance 4 will feature all of the eReader stages unlocked in the game, including the many Japanese exclusive stages!
