Yo! Just thought I’d make this a real celebration by sharing the pilot episodes of other series concepts I’ve created in the past.
First up, the final version of an “unaired” pilot episode of a series under the working title of project://TELEONET. Enjoy!

Episode 1: Telekinesis, Part I (excerpt)
- Synopsis:
- Three young people from vastly different backgrounds live ordinary lives in an ordinary world, where realms of fantasy and special powers are nothing more than mere fiction. When strange occurrences begin to happen in their lives, they choose to ignore them, believing them to be little more than their own imaginations. Their assumptions could not be farther from the truth, however...
Cast
Mikey Smith – A barista and aspiring musician from New York City, they are an outgoing and energetic young man who is quick to make friends, though they have no patience for bullies, and display some degree of resentment about their lack of a father figure. They also have a tendency to speak whatever is on their mind, which often leads to a slip of the tongue.
Amelia “Amy” Len – A talented game developer from London, she is a bubbly, slightly tomboyish young woman who is typically cheerful and enjoys being in the company of her friends, though she has a stubborn streak that makes it difficult for her to accept help. She tends to keep the most critical opinions to herself, but woe be unto anyone who gets on her bad side and unleashes her fiery temper.
Corin “Cory” Jackson – A fresh, newly scouted talent from Melbourne, he is a self- identifying geek with a vivid imagination and a quirky sense of humour, though he also has tendencies of self-doubt, and finds meeting new people difficult. He is, however, surprisingly talkative and friendly once he is familiar with someone, and won’t hesitate to help anyone in need, even to his own detriment.
Ethan Wyatt – A gentleman whose lifespan has reached three digits despite resembling a 20-something-year-old human male, he displays a level of wisdom and clarity reflective of his age, yet still retains the vigour of youth as evident in his mannerisms and use of contemporary speech patterns.

Telekinesis...
...an art that exists throughout the Teleonet...
...but on three long-forgotten worlds, it is no more...
...until now...
The scene fades into a view of a cobblestone street in Victorian era London. We see a rear view of a young gentleman in traditional attire as he walks past some streetlamps. The gentleman stops walking.
Gentleman: Hm?
The gentleman opens his gloved hands and examines them. His palms and fingers ripple with translucent energy.
Gentleman: My word...wh-what is happening?
A voice whispers in the gentleman’s mind.
Voice: Awaken...the element within...

Scene 2: New York City: Early Morning
We zoom into a view of a tan-skinned, dark-haired young man asleep in bed. Their eyes open, and they turns their head to look at his alarm clock, which reads “7:41 am”. The man’s eyes suddenly widen, and they speak with an American accent.
Man: Oh no, I’m late! Stupid alarm clock!
The man flings down their sheets and leaps out of bed.

We cut to a view of the man pulling on a red t-shirt and denim jeans, followed by a pair of black high-tops.
Man: Late, late, late, late, late!

We see two pieces of blackened toast pop out of a toaster. The man tries to grab them but is forced to drop them onto their plate.
Man: Ah! Ah! Not again! I really need to get this thing repaired...

We cut to a view of the man brushing their teeth with an orange toothbrush. They spit their toothpaste into a sink, then take a mouthful of water from a reddish- pink cup. They slosh the water around their mouth and spit into the sink, before examining their reflection.
Man: No zits today...? Good, I’ll skip the cleanser, then.

The man, now wearing a maroon-coloured baseball cap backwards, quickly walks past a coat rack, picking up a black hooded jacket on their way past, before they open the front door and step through it, closing it behind them.

We cut to a view of the man walking into a coffee shop on a busy street. They take off their cap and jacket and hang them on a coat rack by the door. They then pick up a beige-coloured apron and tie it around their waist, before picking up a name tag that reads “MIKEY (THEY/THEM)” and attaching it to their t-shirt. The man steps behind the counter and greets a young woman who approaches.
Mikey: Welcome. What can I get you?
Scene 3: Melbourne: Early Afternoon
The scene shifts to a view of the inside of a library, its dark-stained wooden shelves lined with books of every description. A baby faced man with fair skin and short, carefully styled ginger hair is looking at books on a shelf. He smiles and speaks with an Australian accent.
Baby-Face: Aha! There it is!

The man sits at a table and opens the somewhat large tome, before starting to read it aloud.
Baby-Face: “It is theorised that, in ancient times, humanity possessed a myriad of supernatural abilities, which were drawn from the element within...”
We cut to a view of the inside of the book. On the right-hand page is a schematic of differently coloured circles and dots arranged in a vaguely circular shape.
Baby-Face: “...but over time, that power was lost.”
The man smiles.
Baby-Face: Now that would be amazing, if true...
Thunder rumbles, and the sound of heavy rain echoes throughout the room. The man snickers.
Baby-Face’s thoughts: I guess I can wait a bit before heading to my shoot... instead of rocking up three hours early, as usual...
The man examines the pattern.
Baby-Face's thoughts: Wait... I’ve seen this exact pattern in my dreams lately... so I must be on the right path...
Scene 4: London: Pre-Dawn
The scene shifts to a view of a luxurious home cinema. A young woman with long, perfectly straight blonde hair, hazel eyes, and grey hoodie marked with the name “AMY” in forest green, watches a home movie in the dark. She speaks with an American accent.
Amy: Oh, he was always so embarrassing! Ew!
Amy covers her eyes with her fingers, opening them just wide enough to peek through. A door opens in the back of the room, and another woman in a business outfit walks in. She walks up to the woman.
Woman: Miss Len?
Amy is startled.
Amy: WAH!
Amy looks at the woman and breathes a sigh of relief.
Amy: Oh, it’s you, Heather...
Amy pauses the video at the “8:52” mark. She becomes puzzled.
Amy: Um... why are you here so late at night...?
Heather smirks.
Heather: It’s almost dawn.
Amy’s eyes widen.
Amy: You mean I stayed up all night watching home movies of Daddy’s hairy belly?!
Heather looks at the screen. We see a view of Amy blowing out candles on a birthday cake. The inscription reads, “HAPPY 21st AMELIA”. We hear clapping and cheering as Amy smiles. Heather looks at the present-day Amy, whose face is apparently unchanged.
Heather’s thoughts: How does she always manage to look so young without using any cosmetics...?
Heather: I’m afraid so, Miss Len.
Amy facepalms.
Amy: Oh, how can I be so careless all the time?
Heather looks at the seat next to Amy. A single red rose lays across it.
Heather: Were you expecting company?
Amy: Hm?
Amy sees the rose and picks it up, though she seems to pluck it from the cushion itself.
Amy: How did this get here?
Heather: Perhaps you have a secret admirer, Miss Len?
Amy shakes her head.
Amy: Doubtful. I spend so much time behind a computer monitor these days that I don’t think anyone even REMEMBERS what I look like!
Heather chuckles.
Heather: Too true, Miss... hm...?
Amy: Besides, Cliff wouldn’t dare let anyone near me and break my heart, y'know?
Heather smiles.
Heather: Actually, I don't know, Miss... and frankly, it’s none of my business to know.
Amy: Oh, right... I keep forgetting. You’re just such lovely company to talk to.
Heather blushes.
Heather: Oh, you’re too kind, but I’m just a publicist.
Amy smiles.
Amy: You are SO much more than “just” a publicist. Thank you for helping to make this dream of mine a reality. Who knows where I’d be without you?
Heather smiles.
Heather: Always a pleasure, Miss... I’ll inform the driver to bring the car ‘round.
Amy: Ten minutes, ‘kay?
Heather nods and leaves the cinema. Amy stares at the rose in her hand.
Amy: Weird...
Scene 5: Unknown Location: Unknown Time of Day
The scene cuts to a view of the inside of a round computer lab, its walls seemingly illuminated with white light. A group of individuals wearing black uniforms and differently coloured shirts sits at the computers, typing. We zoom to a close-up view of one of them, a young-looking man with short- shaved black hair and stubble; he is wearing a white shirt. The man’s steely-blue eyes widen, and he speaks with an English accent.
Man: I don’t believe it... we’ve found Alten... and yet-
The man quickly stands from his seat and races from the room.

We cut to a view of the man entering another white-walled room. A similarly dressed man with pointed ears, blonde-streaked dark hair and a green shirt is examining a holographic globe of Earth. A red dot flashes at New York City’s location.
Man: Sven, I... oh, you’ve found it as well.
The pointed-eared man speaks with a Scandinavian accent.
Sven: Indeed, Ethan.
The stubbled man’s eyes widen.
Ethan: New York?
Sven: The “Big Apple” itself.
Ethan rubs his chin.
Ethan: I’d better go and greet them.
Sven: Yes, you’d better.
Ethan turns and runs from the room.
Sven: Oh... and bring back an apple pie if you can!
Sven mulls over his words.
Sven: The apples there must be exceptional... though I daren't try their “lazy liver tea” or “haught dawgs”.
Sven chuckles.
Sven: Altenian cuisine must be quite the eclectic “a-fare”...
Sven’s thoughts: Yet another pun wasted by my being the only one in the room...

Ethan enters another round, white-walled room, the sign on the door reading “TRANSPORT MIRROR ROOM”. Ethan approaches a mirror in the room’s centre and examines his reflection.
Ethan: All this time...and not one grey hair to show for it.
Ethan opens his right hand and holds it at the mirror. The shape from the tome appears around his hand, and white energy ripples around his palm and fingers.
Ethan: Here we go.
The mirror starts to ripple, the reflection shifting to that of an empty change room in a boutique. Ethan smiles.
Ethan: This never gets old.
Ethan steps into the mirror. The view inside disappears, and the mirror stops rippling.
Scene 6: New York City: Late Morning
Mikey holds a paper coffee cup as they speak with a female customer.
Mikey: One half-strength latté, almond milk, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Customer: Thanks. Say, do I know you from somewhere?
Mikey: Uh-
Customer: It’s just that there was a student in my high school’s senior class who... well, let’s just say you look exactly like he did.
Mikey: Well, it’s possible. I mean, I DID finish high school...
The customer shakes her head.
Customer: No, that was over a decade ago. You can’t be him.
Mikey is flustered and thrusts the coffee in the customer’s direction.
Mikey: Enjoy your coffee! Uh... heheh...
Customer: Thanks.
The customer smiles and takes the cup. She nearly chokes on her first sip as she shakes her hand in front of her mouth.
Mikey: Is... there a problem?
Melody: It’s too hot!
Mikey’s eyes widen, and they begin to sweat.
Mikey: What...?
Mikey’s thoughts: Not again...

Mikey stands facing their manager, a young woman with long, curly strawberry blonde hair tied into a loose ponytail. Her name tag reads “MONA (SHE/HER)”.
Mona: This is getting ridiculous, Mikey.
Mikey: I know, I know. I just... I wish I had some kinda explanation.
Mona: You keep brewing the customers’ coffees and teas too hot. Seems simple enough.
Mikey: Then... maybe the machine’s broken or something?
Mona shakes her head.
Mona: It was serviced just yesterday. Besides, it’s only the drinks YOU brew that are scalding.
Mikey: I... I-
Mona: And that doesn’t account for all the searing-hot frappes, either!
Mikey: Okay, THAT doesn’t even make SEN-
Mona holds up her hand.
Mona: No more excuses. You’re slipping too much, and it’s losing us business. I...
Mona sighs.
Mona: I think... I’m gonna have to let you go.
Mikey’s eyes widen.
Mikey: Wait... you’re firing me?!
The word “fire” is echoed.

We cut to a view of Mikey leaving the cafe. Ethan stands waiting for him.
Ethan: You look a little down.
Mikey: Well, I guess anyone would be if they were fired...
Ethan: I’m sorry to hear that.
Mikey: Yeah...
Mikey is puzzled.
Mikey: Have we met?
Ethan shakes his head.
Ethan: No. But I have an offer for you, Mikey Smith.
Mikey: What kind of offer? Wait... how do you know my name...?
Ethan smiles.
Scene 7: Melbourne: Early Evening
The baby-faced man walks along a busy street. A bus and two cars drive past, splashing water near his feet.
Baby-Face: Whoa!
The man looks up at the clouds. We cut to a view of his face.
Baby-Face's thoughts: So much for a day of sunshine... heheh...

We cut to a view of the inside of an apartment. The man is sitting at his computer, researching local precipitation on a web forum.
Baby-Face: “It never rains much at this time of year, but last week it suddenly started pouring. And the weirdest thing is... it stopped just as quickly, as though someone walked past and brought the weather with them.”
The man glances at his feet, before scrolling the page.
Baby-Face: “That’s nothing! Just today, it was raining over the library, but the weird thing is that the surrounding area was bone dry. Maybe it IS chasing someone?”
The man looks at his palms, then shakes her head.
Baby-Face: No way... how could it possibly... I mean there must be a more logical explanation for all this rain!
The word “rain” is echoed. The man gently rubs his eyes.
Baby-Face's thoughts: Maybe I should take a screen break or something...
A voice whispers in the background.
Voice: Go back...
The man looks over his shoulder.
Baby-Face: Hm?
The man’s eyes dart around the room.
Baby-Face’s thoughts: Could it be...? Nah... it's definitely break time...
The man smirks.
Baby-Face: Oh well, guess I’ll order something to eat...
The man’s stomach rumbles, causing him to laugh out loud.
Scene 8: London: Early Morning
Amy walks through an outdoor garden.
Amy’s thoughts: Oh, that breakfast was so good... but where’s Cliff? It isn’t like him to be la-
Amy examines the flower bushes growing on either side of the pathway.
Amy: Weird... I thought I saw-
Amy watches as two long vines emerge from one of the bushes, writhing like tentacles. Amy screams.
Amy: EEP! What is IN this fertiliser?!
The word “fertile” is echoed. The vines grab onto Amy’s wrists.
Amy: Someone! Anyone! Please... help me!
We cut to a view of Amy’s wrists.
Voice: Amelia, Hold still!
A pair of gloved hands holding green- handled pliers cuts the vines, freeing Amy. We cut back to a view of her face as she breathes a sigh of relief.
Amy: Oh... well, it’s ABOUT time, Cli-
Amy becomes puzzled.
Amy: Wait, you’re not my... um... Cliff.
We see a view of Ethan standing near Amy.
Ethan: Evidently not.
Amy: Well then...
Amy becomes angry.
Amy: Who are you and how do you know my name?!
Amy lifts a small trowel and points it in Ethan’s direction.
Ethan: Well-
Amy: Answer me! I’m not afraid to use this!
Ethan: It’s a long story, I’m afraid. But first-
Amy’s eyes widen.
Amy: Hold it! Are you the one who left that rose next to me in my home cinema?
Ethan: I’m... not sure to which rose you refer, but I’d like to make a proposal.
Amy drops the trowel and holds her hands at Ethan.
Amy: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Look, you’re cute and all, and you seem like a nice guy, but... I already kinda-sorta-had’a HAVE a boyfriend!
Ethan chuckles.
Ethan: It isn’t that kind of proposal.
Amy: Well how many kinds of proposals ARE there?
Ethan smiles.
Scene 9: Australia: Late Night
The baby-faced man continues to type.
Baby-Face’s thoughts: WOW, it’s getting late... I should be in bed right now, but... I just don't sleep well anymore...
The man closes his laptop and stands.
Baby-Face's thoughts: I wonder if I should-
Voice: Go back...
Baby-Face: Hm? Again...? Maybe it wasn’t my imagi-
The man looks around. He is alerted to a glow of bright light emanating from his bathroom.
Baby-Face: What the...?
The light stops glowing, and the man nervously approaches his bathroom.
Baby-Face's thoughts: This is... weird...
Ethan enters the man’s living area from the bathroom. The man is startled.
Baby-Face: ...i-it’s YOU!
