Finally Coming?
Combit Studios has announced that it is currently developing a sequel to the sidescrolling fighter River City Ransom, which was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989.
According to its website, the Canadian studio will be working with Million the developer responsible for the Game Boy Advance remake River City Ransom EX.
To help fund the project, Combit will launch a Kickstarter campaign this Summer.
A sequel to River City Ransom was announced for WiiWare back in 2011, however Miracle Kids the developer for that game, confirmed last year that it had put the project on hold indefinitely while it worked on a new title.
This new sequel is set to be released in August 2014 for the PC, however in the announcement Combit has stated that additional platforms are under consideration, will the Wii U or 3DS be among those platforms? We'll let you know when we find out!

So it's not confirmed for any Nintendo console yet?

Hopefully this River City Rampage game wont be cancelled like the WiiWare game was.
