Thanks Professor Layton for giving me a free game Wink

I'll wait till the end of December just to make sure that there might be a temporary price drop on any digital retail, eligible or not.

Donkey Kong: Original Edition is just the original "three stages" NES version plus the factory stage that was missing in the original NES version. This specific version was only released on Wii in Europe a few years ago and now on 3DS.

Just pointing out that the arcade version (and the arcade version inside Donkey Kong 64) are different from this version.

The biggest differences are the graphics. While Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong: Original Edition run on NES, the arcade version has more colors, bigger sprites and a few cutscenes (and of course all four stages).

I'd say the arcade version is the "Original Edition" because the NES version was and still is just a lesser arcade port. I'm just curious as why Nintendo hasn't released just the arcade version but instead remade the NES version.
